What started out as an addition to the Fardie's home, ended up at three times what we were originally hired to do. Once they became aware of Rolando's skill and dedication to his work, they added an elevator, bridge, extended the pool to create an Infinity Edge, and much more. It became a work of art for them and one of Rolando's most challenging and rewarding jobs.

Deltec Homes

The Deltec Circular Home package is a pre-cut, panelized building system. "Panelized construction" involves the prefabrication of a structure in identifiable "panels" that can be easily transported directly to the jobsite and quickly assembled on the foundation. A "building system" is a method of constructing residential or commercial structures in a factory setting and then transporting the structures to the building site for placement on a permanent foundation, where they will perform and function with very predictable results. Extreme Home Makeover Home Edition, Sunday, May 18

We were honored to be asked to take part in the Season Finale build for the ABC show that airs on Sundays. When the Producer and Directors from "Lock and Key Productions" decided that New Orleans would be the final state to build in for the 2 hour Special Edition to air Sunday, May 18, they sought out the best "Hurricane Resistant Home" available. After traveling to New Orleans to scout out a site and decide on the deserving family, they went into areas that had been totally blown away. One of the neighborhoods that had nothing left but slabs, one stood strong, which helped in making their decision on what to build. No surprise to us, it was a Deltec Home!

Through our relationship with Deltec, they asked us to volunteer for this project, there wasn't even hesitation in thought to say "Yes, we will be there"! We know the structure of a Deltec goes up in 5-7 days, but it was an amazing experience to be a part of building not only a house, but a house AND a Church. On both sites the existing structure was demolished, a new structure was built, the interior finished, furnished and the yard landscaped in 106 hours! There were 7 construction companies and hundreds of volunteers from all over the country who participated. It was not only a great learning experience, but a fulfilling part of why we do what we do as human beings for those in need.
